Awful night prior with my diabetes meeting around again! Alarm went at 1am for a high glucose alert, so I corrected with insulin and fell asleep. The alarm went off again and again shortly after that as it take a while for the insulin to work. So I put the alarm into vibrate, I was tired and just wanted to sleep (12-13hr days at work had me knackered) and my husband was being woken up all of the time! Big mistake! I woke at 5am with a glucose of 21.3! My cannula was blocked so I wasn’t getting the insulin 😔 lesson learned....don’t turn off the alarm!
Dressage: Milly was quite naughty, she was evading in anyway possible! She just seemed pissy! I worked her in hard and went for it. She made me work so hard in my Dressage test I got cramp twice! Despite the unwillingness to work for me, we managed a 30. Testament to her better paces since working on them of late.
SJ: I wasn’t sure if I’d run. She was flat as a pancake and had me thinking do I just call it a day or even the season! Anyway, Madam woke up and although we had 1 pole (AGAIN 😡) the round felt much better.
XC: trying to get my timing right I had used an app to help me get minute markers. I was ahead of the 1st 3 so I relaxed, idiot 🤦♀️, we got 1.6 pens too slow. We were clear through and it felt so nice to be on soft ground and overall the jumping was FUN 😬.
Once again, 12th! One of these days I’ll ride properly and Milly will actually help me out...? And just maybe we’ll get a BE rosette!
