I went on the Saturday, the Wet day! I’m not gonna lie it was a pretty miserable start! We’ve been so spoilt with the weather with virtually every event this year so we were due to get wet and cold.

Dressage: tilting and tensing against the wind and rain, we weren’t up for it at all. Mediocre test for 33.5. We were piss wet through after and actually shivering!

SJ: almost 2 hrs later, I was thinking “just go home” I was on my own, no one to hand a coat to, no one to hand a rug to, no glucose holder 🎻🎻😂. Meanwhile the person next to me had an Entourage of 4 grooms/supporters! The rain started to ease but it was still bloody cold. I eventually got jumping with Andrew Nicholson put jumps up and down 🤩 “must jump properly”! Anyway, Mills gave me the best feeling during our round - so much more rideable. So unfortunate to have a pole on the last oxer when we got a little close. Hard work is ....... well, working!

XC: meh! All over in a bit of a flash, Milly ran along on her forehand for the first 1/2. Nice fences, just possibly due to go up now. At least it had stopped raining by the time we went round.

Blood sugars a bit annoying in this day, started to go low as I was walking XC meaning it was difficult to concentrate, then we spent most of the day up. I think I just wasn’t really enjoying it. 🤷‍♀️

I often see reports of people getting say 34 dr, 4 faults SJ and 3 time and still coming 8th! This never happens to me 😂. The SJ was causing lots of problems......but not in my section! Typical! Just need to keep getting better at it.
