Well!! I just LOVE my horse (even if she doesn’t help me out SJ!). She is just so beautiful and she was impeccably behaved this weekend. The whole staying away in a tiny 10x10 box with the hubbub of a big event did not seem to phase her, she was just so chilled 😎.

Lots of exciting things learned and cannot wait to start working on improving. I’ve made some lovely new friends who were so supportive, encouraging and a bloody good laugh! I’m looking forward to doing more with these fab people (....if they’ll have me that is 🤣)

Diabetes management was really hard for the first 24 hrs. I had had a stressy week with work and then a last min dash to fix my lorry’s ramp. So the rushing around and long walks back and forth to the stable from our camp had me dropping into a hypo (low glucose) several times! My first night was awful, big hypo lasting 2am to 3am led to me panic eating/drinking sugar which then led to me being very high on waking up - my GCM alarm was going off every 10 mins and I just wanted to sleep 😩. It did level off but I was going low regularly, by Friday night I’d just about got it settled! .....tiering & boring! The heat did lead to my CGM falling off on the way home (despite shed loads tape!) so that’s £50 partially down the drain - it was fab though whilst it was on. **Monday update - the GCM provider is sending a replacement 😊**

Food! So Ceoliacs is never easy at events and this event was no exception. There was nothing, absolutely nothing I could eat! Luckily, I expected this and had prepared well. Stir fry on night one, hilariously funny meal at a pub we called Limpit or lamb pit.... or something! Odd place but food was Gooood! 👍 sliced new potatoes, leek, bacon and frankfurters fried in a pan 😛.

So here are lots of wonderful photos from the weekend and yes I spent a penny or two on pro pics....But if you know me, although I plan events and future goals I never know when I can’t do this anymore due to blindness/illness, or even just Milly getting injured (we all know how easy our horses break!) so I do what I can while I can 😎😬

Ooo ooo and I nearly forgot to share our greatest success thanks to our amazing “Itsy witsy.....something” quiz team - we won!! AND I went and won a raffle prize😱 -lush pamper pack for Mills 😘
